  1. How about an old comment! I was stationed at schofield barracks in 1965. I departed with the division in 1966 to 1967. To cuchi Vietnam. After I retired from the army in 1980. My wife and 4 little kids headed for beautiful Hawaii. After a short stay finally found a job at schofield barracks. After 16 years I retired from civil service at schofield barracks. After loving Hawaii for 25 years we returned to the mainland. People ask me why did you leave Hawaii. My daughters live in the mainland. We are old and they care of us. We have been back to Hawaii one time for last 5 years. This January 2012 my brother and I will visit Hawaii. Sure I am excited. Hawaii will always be my home
