Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? Congresswoman Mazie Hirono, it seems.

Well he’s not a bad wolf necessarily. But former Congressman Ed Case (2002-2007) is wondering what Hirono is afraid of and why she won’t agree to debate him in a public forum.

Both are running for the U.S. Senate in the Democratic Primary this August.

Case has accepted 9 invitations to debate Hirono.

Hirono has accepted none of the invitations and has not proposed a debate of her own.

Since January, Hirono has returned home frequently to campaign, including the last two weeks.

There are just over days remaining until the August 11th primary (and around two months remaining until voting starts with overseas ballots).

Case believes the voters deserve several chances before then to hear from the candidates on the issues and he’s hoping Hirono will agree.
