BY HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL MEMBER KIMBERLY PINE – Non-profit organizations and community partners in our district will benefit from close to $600,000 in City grants this year.  In 2012, voters amended the City Charter to set aside one-half of one percent of general funds for Grants in Aid.

For Fiscal Year 2015, the Grants in Aid Advisory Commission made 33 recommendations to disperse the grants among the nine City Council Districts, 17 of which are designated to our district.
