“Epic Kauai” showcases Kauai’s unique adventures and natural beauty and takes viewers on a journey around the spectacular and breathtaking lush island of Kauai to places never before filmed.

Charlebois, the owner of Birds in Paradise Flight School, filmed much of the aerial footage from the open cockpit of one of his powered hang gliders as well as capturing land and sea adventures above and below the Garden Isle.

“We are fortunate to live on an island with some of the most stunning terrain and opportunities for the most diverse activities,” said Charlebois. “After five years of challenges and fun adventures, we finally have a film that all residents of Kauai can be proud of. Residents sometimes don’t realize the amazing backyard that we have that is open to play and adventure. I am thrilled to have a film that captures and shares the experiences with residents and tourists alike.”

Filmed over a period of five years, “Epic Kauai” follows up the 2001 release of Charlebois’ first film “Extreme Kauai.” Filmed in high definition, the film uses 5-to-1 surround sound to capture every unique sound from the raging Wailua Falls to water dripping off the ceiling of the wet cave in Kalalau.

The soundtrack is original music composed by former Kauai musician Michael Sena. Music by local Kauai recording artist Allen Thomas is also featured on the film.
