Get Your Pet Identification at Hawaii Kai Event

Hawaiian Humane Society

Join the Hawaiian Humane Society and Surf Paws Animal Hospital at the Hawaii Kai Dog Park to learn more about pet identification on Saturday, January 26, 2013, from 4-6 pm.

Humane Society staff will be on site to answer your pet-related questions, update your pet’s microchip records and license information, hand out great giveaways and much more. Be the first 100 dog owners who purchase a license and get a free microchip implantation for your dog.

Neuter Now certificates, the City & County of Honolulu’s reduced-rate sterilization program, will also be available for sale.

Thousands of pets go missing every year. As Oahu’s official pet lost and found, the Hawaiian Humane Society makes it a priority to get animals home safely and reunite families. By simply complying with the laws that require outdoor cats to have ID and all dogs to wear a county-issued license, you can help your missing pet get home.

This outreach partnership event was made possible by the Hawaiian Humane Society, Hui Ilio Hawaii – the founder of the Hawaii Kai Dog Park – and Surf Paws Animal Hospital in Hawaii Kai.

On Oahu, the Hawaiian Humane Society is the only animal welfare organization that shelters, rescues, adopts and welcomes animals all day, and every day. We protect animals from abuse, find families for homeless pets, and teach children about compassion for animals. As an independent nonprofit that receives no funding from other mainland animal welfare organizations such as HSUS and ASPCA, 100% of donations stays in the islands for the benefit of Hawaii’s animals and people.

  4. Identification of a pet is that much important like a human being. Everyone like to have pet at home and also they like to keep them with one identity and that identity should not be a repeat one also. This blog about the pet identification is helpful to read and also it helps to guide the people in proper steps for the better identification. Too many people get pets for the wrong reasons and then the pets suffer the consequences. People need to remember that a commitment to a pet is as serious as a commitment to a new child. The love a pet can bring to your family is a treasured gift!
