Log Cabin Republicans is proud to have endorsed the candidacy of Charles Djou for Congress.

His commitment to repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’, supporting the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, increased HIV/AIDS research initiatives and equality in domestic partnership benefits on the federal level show that a common-sense Republican can truly win the day, even in President Obama’s home.

Charles Djou, a young Chinese-American from Hawaii, serves as a Captain in the Army Reserves and is a staunch opponent of the failed ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy, which prohibits gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

Djou fought for government transparency in Hawaii, supports market-based healthcare reform and tort reform, and has never voted for a tax increase.

Log Cabin Republicans promotes legislation to provide basic fairness for gay and lesbian Americans and works to build a more inclusive GOP.  The 30-year old organization has state and local chapters nationwide, a full-time office in Washington, DC, a federal political action committee and state political action committees.
