According to Chahanovich, “Our medical center has grown from a respected community hospital to a recognized regional leader.  The rebranding of our center to Pali Momi Medical Center celebrates this evolution and our 20 years of serving the Central and West O‘ahu communities.”

At the event, the center’s new logo will be unveiled. It incorporates the landmark ‘Āina Lani sculpture and water feature that graces the facility’s entrance. ‘Āina Lani represents a volcano and was created more than 20 years ago by local artist and sculptor, Sean Browne. ‘Āina Lani or “Heavenly Land” stands for life, rebirth and rejuvenation, an appropriate metaphor for the center’s rebranding. For many years, the sculpture’s water feature was not operational and many visitors to the center did not understand its significance. Mr. Browne will speak briefly about the inspiration for ‘Āina Lani and after a blessing by Reverend Nathan Kohashi, the waterfall will be turned on to mark this new beginning.

In addition to the name change, the center’s website will be changed to www.palimomi.org. The center’s business address and phone numbers remain unchanged.

Submitted by Aubrey Hawk for Pali Momi Medical Center. Pali Momi Medical Center is a nonprofit hospital located in West O‘ahu and dedicated to the health and well-being of all Hawai‘i residents. With 116 beds and more than 375 physicians, Pali Momi offers a full range of services.
