HONOLULU, HAWAII – Hawaii Pops, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the best in popular music to Hawaii audiences, opens its season with an Orchestra Series concert at the Hawaii Convention Center Ballroom on September 14, 2013 at 8 p.m.  Making the evening even more special: the Hawaii Pops will be joined by country music superstar Jo Dee Messina in a concert that will have you itching to get on the dance floor!

Messina, a two-time Grammy Award nominee, has seen nine of her singles top the Billboard county music charts.  She has sold over five million albums since exploding onto the country music scene in 1996 with the song Heads Carolina, Tails, California.  Five of her albums have reached platinum or gold-certified status as tabulated by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
