League of Women Voters Holds Forum on Proposed 2010 Constitutional Amendment on Whether School Board Members Should be Elected or Appointed

    The Education Fund of the League of Women Voters will sponsor a forum to discuss the pros and cons of the proposed constitutional amendment to change Hawaii’s Board of Education member selection from elected to one that is appointed by the governor.

    Forum members include

    Moderated by Dean Avi Soifer, William S. Richard School of Law, it will be a one-hour forum followed by about 15 minutes of questions and answers and a wrap-up.

    Tuesday, Sept. 14, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. William S. Richard School of Law, Classroom 1. Parking is available in the parking structure, entered from Dole Street. (see UH campus map).
