Before Hawaii state Representatives were elected, they were without the title of “honorable,” a spacious office at the state Capitol, and reserved parking right at the entrance to the capitol basement, among other benefits. When they were elected and presented with the awards office holders receive, they suddenly became much smarter, wiser and all knowing, and their IQ increased, while the public became incompetent and unable to act without their guidance and handholding. Or at least that is what some of them would like the public to believe. Especially when it comes to deciding who should have control and decision-making power over the education of Hawaii
