I see what you are saying with this cartoon, however, I might characterize the change a little differently. The Hawaii Republican Party is referred to as ‘conservative, however, it was taking on the image of an exclusive Christian club. Hopefully the change will signal to people that the HRP is not based upon religion but upon the philosophy of limited government, personal responsibility and the accountability of those in elected positions.
