The cars go fast,
as they race past,
inline
those on bikes,
with their little tykes.
“How do you do it?
Aren’t you afraid of being hit?”
“Yes,” I say.
Defensively is the way we play.
The rewards are many, you see,
so I won’t give up easily.
Slow down is my plea.
Drive more cautiously.
