Once on the market, people were diagnosed with MS, went blind, developed seizures and other horrors. Political power kept the bill that would have put a moratorium on aspartame and had NIH do studies on what people wereseeing in the population, from ever getting out of committee. The FDA lists 92 symptoms from aspartame including headaches, neurological problems and death.

An additive by law must be inert or non-reactive but aspartame is an addictive excitoneurotoxic carcinogenic drug; doctors that have to treat the neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cancers and other horrors have no idea that aspartame interacts with all drugs and vaccine. It can precipitate diabetes, destroys the optic nerve, causes diabetics to go into convulsions and interacts with insulin. Professional organizations take money from industry and push NutraSweet on diabetics. Do you wonder why there is such an epidemic in Hawaii? It triggers irregular heart rhythms and interacts with cardiac Rx, damages the cardiac conduction system and causes sudden death. Athletes drop dead from aspartame; pilots sometimes have seizures while flying their plane.

Unless a doctor has Dr. H. J. Roberts medical text, Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, how can a victim get help and not die from this chemical poison? It costs Hawaii millions of dollars. According to the Trocho Study in 1998 aspartame embalms living tissue and damages DNA. When you damage DNA you can destroy humanity. Show the world it can be done - a poison can be removed from Hawaii because consumer activism is stronger than industry politics.

The 2008 Bills to ban aspartame in Hawaii were shut down by corporate lobbyists; the resolution was a genteel alternative asking the FDA to rescind its approval, which was not heard by Senator David Ige last year; so far in 2009, the same resolution in both houses, although signed by many legislators, remains to be heard in Committee. This resolution is now dead, killed by the inaction of two Health Committee Chairs, David Ige in the Senate, and Ryan Yamane in the House.

"Killing by ignorance" along with Mokusatsu ("killing with silence") would be what Ajinomoto of Japan, the world's largest aspartame maker, would gladly pay for to lobbyists and campaign contributions, in terms of THEIR desired legislative result, and nothing resembling "protecting the health of Hawaiians."

This world's largest toxic food additive maker even has offices in Honolulu. Hawaiians cannot remain uninformed or silent any longer. The price of silence is increased autism, brain tumors, worsened diabetes, epileptic seizures, unexplained headaches, fibromyalgia, and many other related afflictions.
