HONOLULU – The NCAA Committee on Infractions has agreed to allow the USC vs. University of Hawai‘i football game as scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 2 at Aloha Stadium.
Originally the NCAA granted penalties against the Trojans football team which included a ban on the 13th game exception for teams travelling to Hawai‘i. The committee agreed to postpone the ban until 2011.
“I’m pleased that the NCAA understood the situation and has made this decision to allow this game to be played,” UH Athletics Director Jim Donovan said.
The game will be televised nationally on ESPN with a 5:00 p.m. HT kickoff.
The two teams are scheduled to meet again in Los Angeles in 2012 and in Honolulu in 2013.
