Regarding the so-called fiscal cliff; the President wants to increase taxes on those earning $250,000 or more per year.  He says it is to reduce the deficit.  But it will have almost no effect on the deficit. Many of us predict that the next step he will take if he gets the $250,000 is to say, “Oops, that did not help much, let’s go to $200,000”.

Can you see the $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000 ceilings down the road?  Well, you should.  It is only fair, you know.  What is your income?  When will they get to you?

Perhaps they will decide to be craftier and simply use a value-added tax that is harder for us to see.  The one thing that is certain, however, is that we will pay.  And pay.  You can bank on that.

But note, and note carefully: The thing that is first on your family table when income does not meet expenses are those same expenses.  That is NEVER on the table for big government types when they address the nation’s fiscal situation. Theirs is a one- note sound — DOWN — to more expensive, oppressive government by raising taxes.  Big government never looks UP to free individuals from taxes and regulations and let them create and produce more wealth, which would help the economy grow (and thereby yield more tax money).

Do you know why? Look in the mirror. The founding fathers thought you and I were going to work to keep our precious liberty all the time, not just cast a ballot every now and then and let it go at that.  So, we all need to get off our butts and contact our elected representatives–and then get our friends and family to do so also. Offer to help your official by showing him how you do your budgeting. It’s not rocket science, you know. If you do not do that , our future will look just like the last 100 years: a government that just continues to grow and never shrink. Perhaps, in 2112, the government will simply take all pay from everyone except top government officials and send your great-great grandchildren a check. (After taking more deductions, of course.)

We—you, me, he, she and even that fellow behind the tree – must all start to call for laws and rules that invite all to reach UP to individual liberty and demand no more DOWN to bigger, more intrusive, demanding, careless government. That is what the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence did when they called for “We the People” to be in charge.

Are you angry? Good. Please act—UPWARD!

  1. i think that the average american should also do what is necessary to stay within a household budget.for example,i never spend more than i can afford.and i pay cash.no exceptions.i've been reading where consumer debt (individual)rose to a record $2.7 trillion in october!!! the average household credit card debt is $852 billion. we're engaging in the same kind of behavior that washington is.we can't print money at home to pay the bills.we'll go to jail.the feds do it and they do it very well.try to pay down your debt and do it as soon as you can.the government refuses to for political reasons which is criminal in my opnion.

  2. It is very easy to see this regime defining "rich" down all the way to "any white person not on welfare". (Racist, you say? You haven't BEGUN to see racist from this enemy-of-humanity Marxist regime.) The regime just dares not actually come out and SAY so.
