In a major policy reversal, the Obama administration said Wednesday that it will no longer defend the constitutionality of a federal law banning recognition of same-sex marriage.
Attorney General Eric Holder said President Barack Obama has concluded that the administration cannot defend the federal law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.

If i was hired in any corporation per a job description, and i later refused to follow my job description, i would get fired. So, how come the USA President doesn’t get fired when he refuses to defend the laws of the USA as he vowed to do? Perhaps he shouldn’t have accepted the position in the first place?
