neighbors and people of varied cultures and faiths sometimes mixed
socially such as at a Family’s Baby Luau in celebration of the
baby’s first birthday. Hungry neighborhood kids were often invited
to “stay for dinner” and that might mean eating varied treats
depending on the host’s ethnicity
