Hawaii State Federal Credit Union Launches Annual Scholarship Program

HONOLULU, HAWAII – Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (Hawaii State FCU) launched its 19th annual scholarship program.

Members and dependents of Hawaii State FCU attending a university, college or trade/vocational school can apply for a $2,000 scholarship. Fifteen scholarships will be given out based on financial need, academic merit and extra-curricular activities.

Since 1996, the Hawaii State FCU scholarship program has awarded more than $449,000 to help members pursue a higher education.

Applicants must submit an application form, along with most recent official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, student aid report, and a list of personal achievements and community service participation.

Applications can be downloaded at hsfcu.com/scholarship or picked up at any Hawaii State FCU branch location. For branch locations, visit hsfcu.com/branches-and-hours.

Completed application packets can be hand-delivered to the Hawaii State FCU main branch (560 Halekauwila St. Honolulu, HI 96813) or mailed to (Hawaii State FCU, Attn: Marketing, P.O. Box 3072, Honolulu, HI 96802). Applications will be accepted January 1 through March 31, 2014.
