Well, it looks like Gov. Linda Lingle is going to flip-flop once again and not veto the General Excise Tax surcharge increase after saying she would. What a disappointment.

The main problem is this drastic tax increase is not going to perform as advertised. This is the real issue. Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann was reported to have endorsed the myth yet again yesterday in ”’The Honolulu Advertiser”’ on Sunday July 10, 2005 writing,
