Communication Workers Union Endorses Schatz for US Senate

HONOLULU - The Communications Workers of America, District 9 today endorsed Senator Brian Schatz to continue serving in the U.S. Senate. District 9 of the CWA represents Hawai‘i workers in industries including publishing, call centers, and news media.

In making the CWA’s unanimous endorsement, Ameenah McAuley, CWA Area Director stated that Senator Schatz’s “record for supporting the working families of Hawai‘i speaks volumes and will be a great asset in directing Hawai‘i’s future.”

“The Communications Workers represent the solid good jobs we need to be preserving and creating,” said U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz. “I’m honored to have their support.”

Printing Publishing & Media Workers Sector (PPMWS)(CWA Local 14921) / the Honolulu Typographical Union #37, CWA Local 9415, and Pacific Media Workers Guild, Local 39521.

The endorsement by the Communications Workers of America, District 9 marks the 30th labor organization backing Senator Schatz, representing over 90,000 workers.
