Rice Fest LogoThe first-ever attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Loco Moco will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 between 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. with the Official Guinness World Record weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. at the Rice Fest.

 The dish is expected to weigh-in at 500 kg (1,102.31 lbs).

The event will be held at the Ward Centers, 1020 Auahi St., in Honolulu, between Ward Warehouse and Marukai, near Starbucks Coffee/Jamba Juice/Wahoo’s. 

The goal of the 5th Annual Rice Festival is to honor Hawaii’s beloved grain and bring family and friends together with food, entertainment and activities.
