1st Congressional Candidates to Square Off at Smart Business Hawaii Conference, January 13-All three major announced candidates for election to Hawaii's 1st Congressional District will make their first public appearance together at the 34th Annual Smart Business Hawaii [SBH]; Business Conference next Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at the Ala Moana Hotel, Garden Lanai.

Former U.S. Congressman Ed Case (D), City Councilman Charles Djou (R), and State Senate President, Colleen Hanabusa (D), will appear live on a panel from 10:15 – 11 am.

Moderator is Malia Zimmerman of Hawaii Reporter. Each candidate will discuss the looming Special Election when Rep. Neil Abercrombie resigns February 28, as well as their individual platforms. They will answer questions from the audience.
