AUGIE T POSTERIt’s been over 3 years since his last one man show and after a very successful “Laugh for Relief” Comedy Tour in March of 2014 with Filipino American comedian Rex Navarrete. Producing comedy shows in 2013 “Na Alii of Comedy Tour”  featuring the Legends of Hawaii Comedy Frank Delima, Ed Kaahea, Mel Cabang and Andy Bumatai in 2012 “ Portuguese Kings of Comedy”  Hawaii’s Favorite comedian is back to produce and film his 6th one man statewide comedy show intitled “So Dumb 2014”

AUGIE TULBA –  His comedy career started in 1991 when he took top honors during an open mic night at the old Honolulu Comedy Club. He started to develop his earliest material with help from local comedian Andy Bumatai.  Augie soon realized that it wasn’t always necessary to use profanity in order to get a laugh. He was recruited by the comedy group, Booga Booga.  They took him under their wing and Augie began performing with the group on-stage in 1993.


In 1999, Augie won his first Na Hoku Hano Hano Award for (“Da Comedy Kahuna” CD).   In 2002, he was voted the Comedian of the Year and the funniest comic in Hawai’i by the Star Bulletin and Midweek newspapers. He also won his second Na Hoku Hano Hano Award for his comedy album ( Locally Disturbed). Augie is the only local comedian to sell out the Blaisdell Arena (“Augie T – The Blaisdell Arena Show” DVD).   Augie has also been recognized as one of Hawai’i’s Top 100 Influential Filipinos with an exhibit at the Bishop Museum. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Pacific Business News “40 Under 40” award.
