REPORT FROM HAWAII GOP – HONOLULU – Pat Saiki, Chair of the Hawaii Republican Party, has appointed Gunner Mench, owner of Harbor Galley in Kawaihae, as the Hawaii Republican Party’s West Hawaii County Chair. Mr. Mench will serve as the Party’s liaison in West Hawaii, and organize a coordinated campaign between local, state and federal candidates.
“With Duke leading in almost every poll to-date and strong candidates in targeted districts on the Big Island, it is more important than ever that we have a leader who understands the lay of land in West Hawaii and can organize boots-on-the-ground,” said Chair Saiki. “Thankfully, Gunner has stepped up to ensure Big Island Republicans are a key player this Election.”
Gunner attended the University of Vermont majoring in Political Science, has supported several political campaigns over the years, and resides in Kamuela with his wife Elli.
