Homestead Self Help Program Offers Ten Homes in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, HI – The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) and the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) conducted an informational meeting on Saturday, February 20, 2010, to give interested families house costs, house plans and the details on how to own one of the ten homes to be constructed in the Kanehili subdivision in Kapolei. CNHA administers the Homestead Self Help Program to create a pathway to homeownership by assisting families to build their homes and, in the process, reducing the cost through the labor provided by each family.
