HONOLULU, HAWAII – Hawaii Theatre Center presents The Brothers Cazimero in a concert titled ISLANDS IN YOUR EYES on March 23, 2012 at the historic Hawaii Theatre. One show only, Friday at 7:30 PM.

ISLANDS IN YOUR EYES celebrates favorite islands and will feature segments paying homage to Hawaii Nei, England, Tahiti, Japan, Manhattan and, as Robert puts it, “the Island of Me.”
ISLANDS IN YOUR EYES stars the award-winning Brothers Cazimero and features Robert Cazimero’s Halau Na Kamalei O Lililehua and the Ladies of the Royal Dance Company. Special guest performances will include taiko drumming; hula stylings from dancers from Japan, New York, and Mid-Pacific Institute; and a surprise or two.

The evening’s playlist runs a gamut from Roland’s Beatles medley, “Queen’s Jubilee,” and “Ia Oe E Ka La” (England); “Tu Pae Pae,” “Na Pea,” Tera Mai,” and “Otea” (Tahiti); “Sakura,” “Kan Kan Musume” (Japan); to “New York, New York,” “I’ll Take Manhattan,” “On Broadway,” and “Happy Talk” (Manhattan); Mai Lohilohi Mai Oe,” “Maikai Kauai,” “Island In Your Eyes,” “My Hawaii Nei,” and “Hidden Valleys” (Hawaii Nei).

The musical talent, incredible showmanship and infectious humor of The Brothers Cazimero have bridged cultural gaps that naturally exist with ethnic music and dance. The aloha spirit that remains an integral part of their entertaining, whether live, on records or TV, is spreading throughout the global village and with it, a better world is possible.

Join Robert, Roland; along with the Ladies of the Royal Dance Company, Halau Na Kamalei, and special guests at the historic Hawaii Theatre as we pay tribute to the islands we love… the way that only we can.

Sponsored, in part, by the Hawaii Tourism Authority, City & County of Honolulu, Hawaiian Springs Natural Water, Mayor’s Office on Culture & Arts, Aston at the Executive Centre.
