BY CITY COUNCIL MEMBER TOM BERG – Whether you supported our efforts or not, we – that being myself and our staff, we were honored to be the ones to have a chance to represent you at City Hall and work for you.

Mahalo to the people who waved signs and allowed us to put up signs and banners on your property. Thank you to all who contributed financially as well to our efforts – we are grateful for your support.

One last word – to have some 20 or so polling places run out of ballots where folks could not vote . . . wow . . . I am at a loss for words – this is really bothersome and hard to believe that actually happened . . . I will be demanding answers and doing what I can to get to the bottom of this.

On a legislative note- I still have two full council hearings and one committee hearing to facilitate before my term is up (which is to end right after the New Year) . . . as for the campaign trail, this is it, no more emails forthcoming. Hence- please have a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year! MAHALO for your prayers and may God Bless You! It was a great honor to serve and mahalo for the opportunity. We did make a difference!

This is what, sadly, I had to overcome at City Hall . . . if you have never watched any of my youtubes – fine, but watch this one then, and you will then know how I felt at City Hall . . . I leave you with this:

  1. Hi Tom, you are not in my district, but I would have voted for you if you were!!! Thank you for standing up for what is RIGHT. You say you are not giving up the fight, what else can we do to fight this insanity (called rail)? Something really stink going on with politics in Hawaii but I am glad that there are people like you… Thank You!

  2. Tom you are in my district, I did vote for you. You were probably the ONLY incumbent I did vote for. You will be greatly missed and Pine will go along with all her other cronies in never paying enough attention to the problems in the district, staying in their safe little homes and havens in Ko'olina and never attending neighborhood meetings. What a shame and sham. People like you and a very few other candidates that did not win were the only thing standing behind the little people who need a voice. My Aloha and Mahalo to you for being such a force to reckon with.
